Abstract: Mixturesofpalladiumacetateand o-(di-tert-butylphosphino)biphenyl(4) catalyze the room-
temperatureSuzukicouplingofarylbromidesandarylchlorideswith0.51.0mol%Pd.Useof
o-(dicyclohexylphosphino)biphenyl(2) allows Suzuki couplings to be carried out at low catalyst loadings
(0.0000010.02mol%Pd).Theprocesstoleratesabroadrangeoffunctionalgroupsandsubstratecombinations
includingtheuseofstericallyhinderedsubstrates.Thisisthemostactivecatalystsystemintermsofreaction
temperature,turnovernumber,andsterictolerancewhichhasbeenreportedtodate. |
